PRODUCT OVERVIEW
For optimum saltwater chlorine generator operation and longer life, the salt cell should be removed and visually inspected every 3 months of operation, or every 500 hours, and cleaned if required. Cell cleaning frequency depends on how well water balance has been maintained and hours of operation on the cell. Scale is the single most common and serious challenge in the use of a saltwater chlorine generators, partly because it typically forms first on the salt cell plates where it can remain undetected until the problem advances. Once scale forms, it lessens the effectiveness and life span of the cell, which can lead to premature cell replacement.
