PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Good-Bye Metal is a heavy duty sequestering and chelating agent for metals. Chelating metals surround them with a protective layer to prevent discoloration in water and precipitation on surfaces, while sequestering them into larger particles which can be removed by cartridge and DE style filters. NOTE: Sand filters that utilize sand media will require the use of a filtration booster. Sand filters that utilize sand alternatives such as glass and zeolite materials may not require filtration boosters to remove the sequestered metals.

APPLICATION & DOSAGE
FOR POOL OPENING OR REFILLING: To prevent discoloration of the pool water due to trace amounts of iron, manganese, and other heavy metals, add 1 1/2 oz. for each 1,000 gallons of water. This addition should be made before any other chemicals are added. Recirculate the water to ensure uniform distribution before proceeding with other chemical additions.
FOR DISCOLORED WATER: If discoloration is due to the presence of less than 1ppm of iron or manganese, add 1 1/2 oz. for each 1,000 gallons of water. If the water contains greater than 1 ppm, add proportionately greater amounts. Test the pH of the water after addition and adjust to 7.2-7.6, as necessary. Recirculate the water to ensure uniform distribution.
FOR SCALE BUILD-UP: Scale build-up is due to high levels of calcium and other hardness minerals.
Add 3/4 oz. for each 1,000 gallons of water and recirculate for at least 6 hours after addition. To prevent
a recurrence of scale build-up, add 1-2 oz. for each 5,000 gallons of pool water each week.
